UIL releases new conference cutoff numbers and reclassification

AUSTIN - The UIL announced new conference cutoff numbers and reclassification for the 2018-2020 seasons.

Below are the new enrollment cutoff numbers:

6A: 2,190 and up

5A D1: 1,840 - 2,189
5A D2: 1,150 - 1,839

4A D1: 790 - 1,149
4A D2: 505 - 789

3A D1: 335 - 504
3A D2: 225 - 334

2A D1: 162 - 224
2A D2: 105 - 161

1A D1: 55 - 104
1A D2: 54 and below

Seven Permian Basin teams will play in new divisions starting next season as a result of the reclassification.

Seminole will move up to play in 4A-Division 1 next season, Crane will drop down to 3A-Division 2 and McCamey will drop to 2A-Division 2.

In six-man, Ackerly Sands, Balmorhea and Grady all move up to 1A-Divsion 1, while Imperial Buena Vista will drop to 1A-Division 2.
