Texas Tech's Keenan Evans big week leads to multiple accolades

LUBBOCK - Texas Tech's Keenan Evans is having himself a senior season.

This week, the guard won back-to-back Big 12 player of week awards, made program history and was named one of 10 finalists for the 2018 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year award and is one of 20 players to be listed among the John R. Wooden Award Late Season Top 20.

Evans has averaged 18.6 points, 3.5 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. The 18.6 points per game are second whereas the 3.5 assists per game are ninth in the Big 12 rankings.

Texas Tech has won eight of nine games this season and 14 of 18 games overall when Evans eclipses the 20-point mark. The senior guard has amassed 1,365 career points which is 20th on the program’s all-time scoring list. His 310 career assists currently stand 12th in program history.
