CBS 7 News is excited to announce a newsroom expansion in the Permian Basin. KOSA is dedicated to keeping an eye on news, weather and sports and now we can do so right in the heart of downtown Midland.
KOSA’s Vice President and General Manager, Jose Gaona, says the newsroom allows us to continue growth in the Midland community. “By establishing a Midland newsroom, we’re able to quickly respond to breaking news and weather, which is what is most important to the West Texas community,” Gaona said.
CBS 7 couldn’t have made this dream a reality without the help of our partners at Aim Bank who share the same vision. One that provides the highest quality service to all of West Texas.
With the mission of being the breaking news and weather authority, the Midland newsroom is fully equipped with the latest technology. Working closely with the Odessa newsroom, the Tall City news team will bring the latest stories and live newscasts, anchored by news veteran Alexa Dunson.
The expansion is part of the Gray Television commitment to deliver the best local news and weather on all platforms. The company owns 100 market-leading television stations spanning more than 50 markets. Gray Television owns KOSA, the number one news station in the Midland-Odessa market.
