MIDLAND COUNTY -- The victim of Sunday night's deadly crash that left an 18-wheeler in a homeowner's yard has been identified.
According to DPS, their troopers responded to a call of a crash on State Highway 349 just south of Midland at 11:56 p.m.
When troopers arrived on scene they found a crash involving a semi-truck and Ford Mustang.
The driver of the Mustang, identified as 21-year-old Yoel Baca of Midland passed away from his injuries at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt in the crash.
A preliminary investigation of the crash found that the semi-truck was driving south on Highway 349 as Baca was driving west on CR 140 heading towards the highway.
DPS says that Baca disregarded a stop sign and entered the intersection, where he was hit by the semi-truck.
