UTPB student-ran radio station takes flight

ODESSA - A college radio station is in the works here in the Permian Basin.

My Falcon Radio, a student run program at UT Permian Basin, has been active on Facebook and Twitter, showcasing some of the sports and events happening on campus.

Michael Crane with the Roden Entrepreneurial Development Center says they hope to get that up and running this year.

"Falcon radio would not exist had it not been for the students. The students want it to happen they have made a huge impact in developing partnerships that maybe some of us may not have had it not been for the students,” Crane said. “They are actually being able to touch the community with giving them the inside view of UTPB, which means I think that there’s a lot of support there."

You can also hear the UTPB sports show called Falcon Fly Zone on 95.1 FM-KQRX.
