Teen arrested following high-speed chase in Odessa

ODESSA -- A teen has been arrested following a high-speed chase that ended in West Odessa on Tuesday.

Issac Florez, 17, has been charged with Evading with a Motor Vehicle, a 3rd Degree Felony.

According to the Ector County Sheriff's Office, the chase began around 7:45 p.m. as investigators pursued a Nissan in the area of 10th Street and Sam Houston Avenue near Crump Park.

The Nissan ignored stop signs and almost hit another vehicle as it evaded authorities.

The 19-minute chase eventually ended near the intersection of Moss Avenue and Hubnik road where the driver, identified as Florez, was taken into custody.
