Reeves County approves burn ban, fireworks restrictions

REEVES COUNTY -- Reeves County officials are looking to prevent fires as they experience drought conditions.

At the end of May county commissioners voted to pass a 90-day burn ban. Anyone caught violating the ban could face a fine of up to $500.

The County has also issued restrictions on the sale of certain fireworks.

Skyrockets with sticks and missiles with fins are prohibited during this fireworks season.

Those caught violating the restrictions could be charged with a Class C Misdemeanor.
