Police arrest 29-year-old McAllen woman accused of sexually assaulting 16-year-old boy

Investigators have arrested a 29-year-old McAllen woman accused of having sex with a 16-year-old boy, CBS-affiliate CBS 4 reports.

Officers arrested Ashley Yvonne Contreras, 29, of McAllen after the boy's mother called police, according to the criminal complaint.

In mid-December, the mother met with investigators at the McAllen Police Department.

The mother said she caught Contreras performing oral sex on her son and heard Contreras admit to having sex with the boy, according to the criminal complaint.

Investigators interviewed Contreras, who admitted having sex with the boy, according to the criminal complaint. Contreras also said she might be pregnant.

Contreras is charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony.
A judge set bond at $50,000.

Contreras remains at the Hidalgo County jail and couldn't be reached for comment.
