Police: Woman shot at while delivering newspapers in Odessa

ODESSA -- The Odessa Police Department is investigating after a woman was shot at on Thursday morning.

According to OPD, their officers responded to the 2400 block of Oakwood just after 5 a.m. for a call of a person with a gun.

When police arrived on scene they met with a woman, who stated that someone had shot at her car as she was delivering newspapers.

The victim told police that she was sitting in her car and her 9-month-old daughter in the back seat when the shots were fired. She told police that she lost sight of the suspect's vehicle when it turned off from behind her.

No injuries were reported in the shooting.

Several bullet holes were found in the front of the vehicle, and neighbors reported hearing gunshots being fired.

The suspect in the shooting was driving a newer model white Chevrolet Silverado with chrome bars on the bed of the truck.
