ODESSA -- A man was arrested after police say he threatened officers and berated them with racial slurs.

Christopher Chandler, 25, has been charged with Retaliation, a 3rd Degree Felony.

According to the Odessa Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of Merill New Year's morning for a call of a disturbance.

When police arrived on scene they met with a complainant, who told officers that her grandson 'was out of control and destroying her house'.

Officers then met with the grandson, identified as Chandler. According to OPD Chandler became aggressive, berating the officers with racial slurs, cursing at them, and threatening to hurt them with his chest puffed and his hands clenched into fists.

Chandler was then charged and arrested accordingly at the scene.
