Minnesota police tweet on 4/20 goes viral, used to share helpful message

Wyoming, MN -- A 4/20-themed tweet from the Wyoming, Minnesota police department went viral Thursday, and police are using it to share a helpful message.

The tweet, posted in the early hours reads "Undercover #420 operations are in place. Discreet traps have been set up throughout the city today. #Happy420"

Attached to the tweet is a photo, showing a line of chips, video games, Mountain Dew and food from White Castle.

The tweet was then followed by two more showing the true thoughts behind the department.

"All jokes aside, substance abuse is a real issue. We use tongue in cheek humor to bring attention to those issues," said police on Twitter, " With that being said, if you need help with substance abuse issues please contact us & we'll find resources. That does NOT mean jail time."
