Midland police searching for convenience store robbery suspect

MIDLAND -- The Midland Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect of an armed robbery at a convenience store.

According to MPD, on the morning of December 14th a suspect walked into the Kent Kwik at 2910 Big Spring Street and pointed a black and pink gun at the clerk, demanding cash.

The suspect was then seen fleeing the scene on foot on Dormard Avenue.

According to MPD the suspect is described as a Caucasian male, possibly in his early 20s, wearing a green hoodie, khaki pants, and a black ski mask.

On Wednesday the Midland Police Department announced that they would have officers working undercover at convenience stores in an attempt to stop a recent trend of robberies.
