MIDLAND -- The super search continues for Midland ISD as the district is now on their second day of interviewing potential candidates.
Earlier this week the district narrowed down 35 candidates to just five.
Board members have been interviewing the potential leaders over the past two days.
Board president Rick Davis says although the process is long, the board is feeling very optimistic and excited while conducting the interviews.
"It's really the most important decision that a school board makes, is a selection of a superintendent and we're excited that we have quality candidates to choose from," said Davis.
Davis says the next step is narrowing the five candidates down to just three and interviewing them again next week.
