Midland Commissioners to revisit nuclear waste transport conversation

By  |

MIDLAND - Midland County Commissioners could decide Monday morning whether or not they support having high-level nuclear waste transported through Midland to a facility in western Andrews County.

Commissioners will hear comments on the nuclear waste project and hear a presentation on the overall plan. If approved, the high level nuclear waste would travel on rail lines through the tall city.

Regardless of what the county decides, it is up to the federal government where the waste will travel through. That meeting starts at 9am at the Midland County Courthouse.
