Man arrested in connection to Odessa stabbing

ODESSA -- A man has been arrested in connection to a stabbing that sent one person to the hospital in Odessa.

Buddy Allen McCoy, 40, has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a 2nd Degree Felony.

According to the Odessa Police Department, their officers responded to a call of a disturbance in the 1000 block of Spur on Friday night.

When police arrived on scene they met with a 40-year-old man who had been stabbed several times. The man was then taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries.

Officers at the scene also met with a man who was identified as McCoy.

According to OPD, an investigation revealed that McCoy and the victim were arguing when McCoy stabbed him multiple times.

A witness told officers that they saw McCoy chased the victim out of the home they were in.

Once outside the witness claimed that McCoy stabbed the victim with a silver bladed knife.

McCoy was then charged and arrested accordingly.
