PRESIDIO COUNTY -- Two New Mexico hunting guides who claimed illegal immigrants ambushed them in Candelaria have plead not-guilty, according to the Big Bend Now.

Walker Daughetry and Michael Bryant are facing charges of deadly conduct by discharging firearms.

The shooting happened back in January at the Circle Dug Ranch.

An investigation conducted by the Presidio County Sheriff's Office revealed Daughetry shot one of their clients and Bryant shot Daughetry.

The story made headlines after a GoFundMe page was setup for Daughetry and raised over $23,000.

Both men will have their second appearance in court on July 11th.
