HOMETOWN HERO Gathering data and crunching numbers. That's where Carrie Bronaugh and Mellessa Brenem's jobs begin.

Their jobs with the Permian Basin Regional Council on alcohol and drug abuse are to get out into the community and schools and teach young people how to set goals and live a healthy life style, drug and alcohol free.

Brenem says their jobs are much more than just giving out information, they've found real change comes with listening.

It's about empowering youth to live a happy and healthy life, free of drugs and alcohol.

Do you know someone who deserves recognition for impacting their community in a positive way?
