Drunk driving suspect in crash that killed 3 makes bond

ECTOR COUNTY -- The suspect of a drunk driving crash that killed three people in June has made bond.

According to the Ector County Jail, 23-year-old Mark Garrett made bond at 12:26 p.m. Friday.

Garrett's bond was increased to $250,000 in July, almost a $100,000 increase from the original $155,000.

Conditions of the bond include that Garrett not be allowed to drive or operate a motor vehicle, abstain from the use of drugs and alcohol, and that he have GPS monitoring and TAD (Transdermal Alcoholic Detector) Monitoring.

Garrett was charged with Intoxication Manslaughter following a crash that killed three people and sent four others, including himself, to the hospital.

The three people riding in an ice cream van that Garrett reportedly crashed into have been identified as Angel Pierce, 28, Richard Jay Mackrell, 63, and Barbara Ann Mackrell, 46.

Garrett was spotted at a bar following the deadly crash, sparking outrage on social media.
