Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders visit seniors in Midland

MIDLAND -- While the Dallas Cowboys are clawing to stay in the playoff race some of their most famous representatives made their way to the Permian Basin.

On Wednesday members of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders made a stop at Senior Care of Midland to help spread cheer.

CBS 7 spoke with one of the cheerleaders who explained why the visit meant so much to her.

"We love coming out here, it's great to do some community service and for me personally, my grandpa has dementia and is getting ready to go to a senior care center so I really like coming to these things," said Tasha Cruz.

The Dallas Cowboys are on the road this Sunday to take on the New York Giants at 12 p.m.
