WEST ODESSA/LUBBOCK -- A nine-year-old boy who was attacked by pit bulls in West Odessa is in stable condition and is walking again.
According to Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis, as of Friday morning the boy was listed as in stable condition and was up walking.
The boy was flown to Lubbock on Tuesday where he had several surgeries for his injuries.
Two dogs involved in the attack were put down and tested for rabies, according to the Ector County Sheriff's Office.
A third dog was returned to its owner after it was determined the dog had nothing to do with the attack.
