Upper level disturbances moving west through West Texas combined with abundant Gulf of Mexico moisture and daytime heating will continue the threat of isolated thunderstorms today. While severe weather is not expected...some of the stronger storms may contain gusty winds up to 40 mph that can cause areas of blowing dust that will decrease visibility to less than a 1/2 a mile. Storms can also produce brief but heavy rainfall that could produce some minor flooding that can cause flowing water in dry creeks and arroyos. When storms approach your area...watch for near zero visibility and flooding hazards and remember if you can't determine the depth of the water on the road or street....Turn around..Don't drown!
