Dry And Warm Weather On The Way

Thunderstorms possible late in the weekend. We will start to see plenty of sunshine the next couple of days. The winds will pick up Friday with breezy southwest conditions in the Permian Basin, and windy conditions in the mountains and adjacent plains. This will also allow the highs to reach into the lower to upper 70's around the region. Moisture will start to increase across the area Saturday night/Sunday. It appears a dry line/Pacific front will develop on Sunday. Right now it looks like the majority of the strong convection will be east of the area. If thunderstorms do develop in the Permian Basin it could be strong to marginally severe. The main threat would be heavy rain, however marginally severe hail can't be ruled out.
The storm system will move quickly out of the area by Monday. After that warm conditions move back into the area.
