One man dead after officer-involved shooting in Pecos County

FORT STOCKTON- One man in an officer-involved shooting in Pecos County is dead.

According to Brewster County Sheriff Ronnie Dodson, a high speed pursuit began Saturday and ended ten miles south of Fort Stockton south of highway 385.

Two Pecos county deputies and one Brewster County deputy were involved.

It is unclear which deputy fired their weapon.

Sheriff Dodson says the unidentified deceased man had a weapon in his hand and pointed it at the deputies.

No deputies were injured.
