GRAND PRAIRIE (AP) -- Authorities are investigating a one-car crash in the Dallas-area that left three people dead, including two young children.
Grand Prairie police say a 26-year-old man was driving at a high speed on Interstate 30 when he lost control of the vehicle and it collided with a concrete light pole base in a median.
Police say a 29-year-old woman died at the scene. Two children — ages 3 and 4 — were taken to a hospital where both died.
The driver was taken to a hospital where he's in serious but stable condition.
Police say the children were in the back seat of the car in regular seat belts, but weren't in child seats.
Police say alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
